Supervision for hypnotherapists

Confidential, solution-focused supervision for qualified and trainee hypnotherapists. One to one or in a small group, in Tansley, near Matlock, or on Zoom.

My approach

Supervision is a confidential, professional relationship. We meet regularly, one to one or in a group, so that you can discuss specific client issues, ask questions about your practice, talk through the challenges you face in your work, and reflect on your own practice, with feedback and guidance in a positive and supportive environment.

My aim is to support you in developing every area of your practice, and to grow your confidence and competence as a therapist. Regular supervision is a form of ongoing professional development: it encourages you to find expertise within yourself, to become more effective at helping your clients, and to grow your business too.

I offer a solution-focused model of supervision that respects your own training, therapeutic approach and professional philosophy.

Supervisory arrangements

Individual and group

Individual sessions are fortnightly, monthly or every other month, in person in Tansley, near Matlock, or on Zoom. If needed, I can travel to a convenient location; any room hire or travel costs are met by you, agreed in advance.

Group sessions, when available, run every other month, usually on Zoom. Dates for the year are emailed to supervisees in January.

Frequency

How often you need supervision depends on how many clients you see each week, how long you have been practising, and the requirements of your professional body.

A newly qualified therapist needs at least 30 minutes every month for their first year of practice. We review your arrangements regularly so they meet your ongoing needs.

Duration

Individual sessions are one hour, or longer if needed.

Group sessions last up to two hours: 30 minutes per supervisee, with up to four supervisees.

Fees and terms

Fees are reviewed every January, and supervisees are given written notice of any change. Payment is by bank transfer within 14 days of your invoice, or in cash on the day of a face-to-face session.

Fees for 2026

  • Individual supervision: £60 per hour, pro rata
  • Group supervision: contact me to find out about availability
  • Less than 24 hours notice of cancellation may be charged in full

Preparation and reflection

To get the most from our time together, I ask supervisees to:

  • Prepare a written Case Presentation form for each client you would like to discuss
  • Complete and return a Reflective Practitioner feedback sheet when requested, within 48 hours
  • Follow the Code of Ethics and best practice of the NCH or your own professional body
