Website terms of use

1. About these terms

Thank you for visiting my website (the Site). These terms explain how you may use the Site and all its associated pages. Please read them before using the Site. By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these terms and the documents they refer to; if you do not agree with them, please stop using the Site. If you have any questions about the Site, contact me at alison@galenetherapy.com.

In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" mean Alison Gifford, trading as Galene Therapy, of Tansley, Derbyshire. "You" means the person accessing or using the Site. "Content" means any text, images, video, audio or other material on the Site. Your use of the Site also means you must comply with my Privacy policy and Cookie policy, and with any terms that apply when you book a service through the Site.

2. Using the Site

The Site is for your personal use only. You are responsible for any costs you incur in using it. I try to make the Site as accessible as possible; if you have any difficulty using it, please contact me. I may prevent or suspend your access to the Site if you do not comply with these terms or any applicable law.

3. Ownership and intellectual property

The Site and all intellectual property rights in it, including its Content, are owned by me. That includes copyright, trade marks, domain names, design rights and all other intellectual property rights of any kind, registered or unregistered, anywhere in the world. Nothing in these terms gives you any legal rights in the Site other than what is necessary to access it. You may not use my name or logo except as these terms allow.

4. Information you send me

While I try to keep the Site secure, I cannot guarantee the security of information you send through it, so please do not submit anything you regard as confidential through the website itself. Anything you tell me in the course of therapy is handled separately and confidentially, as described in my Privacy policy.

5. Accuracy and availability

I try to make sure the Site is accurate, up to date and free from errors, but I cannot promise that it always will be, or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose. Any reliance you place on the information here is at your own risk. Content is provided for general information about me and my services; it is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. I may suspend or end the Site at any time, and I cannot promise it will always be available.

6. Links to other websites

The Site may link to third-party websites for your convenience. I have no control over them and accept no responsibility for their content. A link does not mean I endorse that website, its products or its services, and your use of it is governed by its own terms.

7. Acceptable use

As a condition of using the Site you agree not to:

• use it for any unlawful purpose, or to commit fraud
• use it to distribute viruses, malware or other harmful code
• use it to send unsolicited advertising or spam, or to imitate communications from me ("phishing")
• use it in any way that disrupts the Site or my business, or any other website or business
• use it in any way that harms minors, or to promote unlawful activity
• suggest that I endorse any business, product or service unless I have agreed to in writing
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to computers, data, systems, accounts or networks, or to bypass any password or authentication.

8. Linking to the Site

You may link to the Site from another website without my consent, provided the link does not frame the Site, does not imply that I endorse you or your products, does not display my trade marks or logo without permission, and is not placed on a website that itself breaches the acceptable-use terms above. I may ask you to remove a link at any time and you agree to do so promptly.

9. Breach

I apply these terms at my discretion. If you breach them I may end or suspend your use of the Site, disclose information to law enforcement, or take any other action I consider necessary.

10. Limitation of liability

Except for any liability I cannot exclude in law (such as for death or personal injury), I am not legally responsible for any losses that were not foreseeable to you and me when these terms were formed, that were not caused by any breach on my part, or that are business losses.

11. Changes to these terms

I may vary these terms from time to time. The updated terms will be displayed on the Site and, by continuing to use it, you agree to be bound by them. Please check this page occasionally.

12. Disputes

I will try to resolve any dispute with you quickly and fairly; if you are unhappy with me, please contact me as soon as possible. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Last updated 26 September 2026.
